Mega blood donation camp at Kundapura rural Ayurveda medical College and Hospital Koteshwara on 29/11/2024 in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Kundapura and HDFC bank. Many staff and students of our college actively participated in the blood donation. The official inauguration was done by Dr S G Prasanna Aithal, Principal, Mr Nagaraj Shetty, CFO, Mr Pradeep Kumar Shetty, AO, Members of Red Cross and HDFC bank

The ten days induction program was conducted from 4/11/2024 to 13/11/2024. Various sessions were included in the program incorporating both online and offline classes along with a field visit. Sanskrit Language Learning Program was scheduled everyday for the students.

The day started with Dhanwantari Pooja . Then the sacred turmeric thread was tied to students. An Ariel view performance by all batch students were done. The official inauguration of the function was done by Mr Jayasheel Shetty, Vice President, Amrutheshwari Educational Trust, Dr S G Prasanna Aithal, Principal, Dr Sridhar Rao, Founder president, Dr Hariprasad Shetty, Vice Principal, Mr Nagaraj Shetty, CFO, Mr Pradeep Kumar Shetty, AO and other dignitaries. The program was very well organised and presented under the leadership of Dr Nisha Kumari, HOD and Professor, Department of Roga Nidana and Vikruthi Vijnana . The welcome address was done by Dr Parikshith Navada, Assistant Professor, Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana . The Presidential speech was given by Principal. The gathering was addressed by Mr Jayasheel Shetty and Dr Sridhar Rao. The oath for the students was given by Dr Aswathy T P, Assistant Professor, Department of Samhitha Sidhantha and Sanskritha. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sujala Nandini, Assistant Professor, Department of Roga Nidana. The session was followed by the inauguration and sale exhibition of Oushadha mela( innovative approach from our second professional BAMS students). Afternoon session included a creative show “ Anvesha… In search of God” and the fresher’s party for 2024-25 batch students. At night, Yakshagana seva was organised in the college campus.

Student Induction Program and Transitional Curriculum for the 2024-25 batch students were inaugurated on 4th of November 2024 in Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital with the name “ Deeksharambha 2024”. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr Dhanya KU , Associate Professor from the Department of Agada Tantra.

9th National Ayurveda Day was celebrated with many competitions for BAMS students, Health check ups, Awareness talks, cultural performances and innovative products making and selling in Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital. The theme for 2024 was “Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health“. The official session was inaugurated by Dr S G Prasanna Aithal, The Principal, Dr S M Shridhar Rao, Founder President, Dr Hariprasad Shetty, Vice Principal, Mr Nagaraj Shetty, CFO, Mr Pradeep Kumar Shetty, AO and Dr Srinivas Rao, Professor. All teaching, non teaching, hospital staff and students gathered for the celebrations. The gathering was addressed by the dignitaries on the dias.

A Short film competition was conducted on 26-10-2024. Topic – Awarneness of Ayurveda in society/ Sadvrutta/ Regional food according to Trividha desha. Total 3 teams has participated in the event which was judged by Dr Pratap Varma, Associate Professor, Department of Rasasasthra and Bhaishajya Kalpana and Dr Dhanya K U, Associate Professor, Department of Agada Tantra. Also Innovative products making competition was also conducted and many teams participated in the competition

Model presentation competition was conducted as part of National Ayurveda day celebrations in our college on 26-10-2024. Topic –Bheshajagaara/ Samudra mantana / Sroto dusti/ Marma/ Causes of air pollution. Total 4 team has participated. Event was judged by Dr Pooja Shetty and Dr Hariprasad Shetty

A Poster presentation competition was conducted in our college on 26-10-2024. The Topic of presentation–Innovation in Ayurvedic Pharmacy/ Clinic/ Hospital/ Nadi pareeksha. Dr Akshatha and Dr Sujala Nandini were the judges of the event.

Debate competition was conducted in our college as part of observing National Ayurveda day 2024. Topic – Practising Ayurveda leads to deforestration/ Modernization is boon for Ayurveda/ Ayurvedic medicines are not effective in recent outbreak of disease. Dr Pranesh varna and Dr Sujala Nandini has judged the event.

Advertisement with jingles competition was conducted in our college. Total 3 teams participated in the competition. Dr Prasanna Aithal, Principal and Dr Shrikanth acharya, Assistant Professor judged the event. Topics given were sariva panaka/ kumkumaadi lepa, rasajana, danta kasta, siddarthaka snana churna, ayurvedic chocolates, eladi soap, ayurvedic pan kwid, ayurvedic talcum powder.

Medicinal plant competition was conducted in our college on 25-10-2024 as part of Ayurveda Day celebrations . A total of 6 teams participated in the comeptition. There were 3 rounds, 1st round – identification of plant and useful part with indication, 2nd round – identification of plant its useful part with formulation, 3rd round – identification of disease and eka moolika prayoga. Event was hosted by Dr Hariprasad Shetty and Dr Parikshitha Navada K S.

Health check up for children were conducted at Shishu Mandira, Thekkatte, Udupi district as part of National Ayurveda Day 2024.
