The Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College was envisioned by the Amruteshwari Trust with the aim to impart quality Ayurvedic education to achieve holistic health in the community. The institution is situated in the coastal belt of Kundapura, adorned by the Arabian Sea on one hand and the vibrant culture of Kundapura on the other.
The Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College is located 5kms from Kundapura town in the calm and scenic surroundings of Koteshwara in Udupi District of the state of Karnataka, India. The institution is established in a picturesque five and a half acre land unperturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life. The institution aims to provide excellent Ayurvedic knowledge to ayurvedic enthusiasts from around the globe. The campus situated in the five-and-a-half-acre land has a well-built college with spacious and well-ventilated classrooms. The laboratory is well equipped with all the contemporary facilities in it. Each of the departments are well organized with models, charts, and required amenities for a better understanding of the subject. The main objective is to provide excellent knowledge from both Ayurvedic and modern viewpoints with adequate practical training to harness a breed of excellent physicians. This is the apt college for students who seek in-depth knowledge in Ayurveda and gain expertise in diverse branches of it.
The KRAMCH campus houses a well-equipped hospital with specialist doctors and diligent employees who deliver world-class treatment facilities and varied ayurvedic therapies all under one roof. The 100 bedded hospital offers specialized care inclusive to all patient needs with subsidized rates for faster healing of the patient. The hospital provides hands-on training in different OPD and IPD under experienced clinicians which helps the students to grow into better physicians.
We have a well-established pharmacy with varied formulations that address all kinds of ailments. The knowledge of dravya is essential to any practicing Vaidya, so we have methodically arranged the herbal garden with over 300 species of plants and incorporated several techniques which help in enhanced understanding of it by the student community.
The library houses around 3000 books spread in an area of about 2500 square feet, with a seating arrangement that holds about 100 students. It comprises a digital library where students can access a variety of information in one touch. The library encases both Ayurvedic and modern books, along with it around 8 international journals and 12 national journals are also available. The exhaustive library builds an aptitude for research in our students. Research Books, journals, periodicals, magazines are kept updated with the intention that the students are in sync with the happenings of the world around them.
