World environment day celebration

June 5, 2024- World Environment Day was celebrated in Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Koteshwara with the guidance and assistance from the Department of Dravya Guna vijnana. Planting of medicinal plants were carried out by teaching, non teaching staff and students. The inauguration was done by Dr S G Prasanna Aithal by planting Bakula sapling . Pledge was taken by all who gathered for the programme to save environment , water and to reduce plastic and pollution as dictated by Dr Hariprasad Shetty, Professor and HOD. He also addressed the students by explaining the theme for the World Environment day,2024 ie “Land restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”. An awareness talk about plant cultivation, preservation and conservation was delivered by Dr Raghavendra, Assistant Professor from Dravyaguna Department.
