Shishyopanayana 2022
Diksharambha 2022 Grand Finale – Shishyopanayana was conducted on 7th May 2022 in Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College Campus.
The Event was organized to initiate the students into the Ayurveda Curriculum. The event started with procession of Student and Doctors to the Pooja Venue.
The Principal Dr. S.G.Prasanna Aithal and Medical Superintendent Dr. Savitha K Bhat performed the Pooja with the determination of equipping the institution with the best of health service and education.
The Dhanwantari Homa was performed by Mr. Sripathi Upadhyaya, Purohith of Hariahara Devasthana of Kumbashi. The stage program of the day was moderated by Dr. Parikshith Navada. Oath taking to the students were rendered by Dr. Pranesh Varna. Students took the oath uttering the verses of Sushrutha Samhitha and promised to involve completely in the process of learning Ayurveda.
The Chief guests of the event were Mr. Uday Kumar Shetty, Mr. Vinay Kumar Shetty, Dr. Muralikrishna Bhat who are the trustees of Amritheshwari trust. All of them spoke about the struggles and pains took to build the institution, they mentioned their expectations, aspirations that they have for the student and staff community of the establishment. They wished them luck at the start of their academic career in the college.
The special invitee at the event was Mr. Arun Sagar, Actor, Art Director in the Kannada Film Industry. He spoke on how healing is not just giving medicines to a patient but an attitude of service and care which the students need to carry with them to become excellent physicians and this will help them provide service to the community selflessly.
The event was presided by the Principal Dr. S G. Prasanna Aithal, he stressed on how the management helped promote Ayurveda in Kundapura through the establishment of Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital. The Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr. Lakshmi Pai. The program concluded with tying a thread of haridra to each student symbolizing their initiation into the Ayurvedic Science.
The commencement of classes was declared from May 9th onwards with a balloon raising, wishing students to fly high with dreams and achievements. The program was a grand success. All the students of the First batch of Ayurveda, their parents, staff and the management were present at the event.
