The Department of Samhita and Siddanta organized Ayurveda Arogya Mela – Food fest on 28.09.2024 Saturday from 3.00 PM.
Students of First year BAMS studied various Chapters on Charaka and Astanga Hridaya and prepared food as per the classical references on their own and exhibited their cooking skills. Six groups of stalls were present with sales and exhibition of Ayurveda Foods.
Students Hosted Skit depicting the beauty of festival of harvest and its relation with nature animals and human health with melodious music and elegant group dance.Â
Principal, Dr S G Prasanna Aithal Inaugurated the event by igniting the traditional cooking fire. The inaugural ceremony was accompanied by Mr Nagaraj Shetty, Chief Finance Officer of Amrutheshwari educational Trust, Mr Pradeep Shetty Administrative officer KRAMCH, Dr Pranesh Varna Class Coordinator of I BAMS Class. Dr Ashwathi Assistant professor, dept of Samhita Siddanta.
The teams Prepared Krisara, Manda, Panaka, Takra, Rasala, Phala guccha, Peya, Modaka, Roti, Odana, Pruthuka, Chutney and sold for nominal amount.
The organiser and coordinator of the events was Dr Nisha Kumari, Professor and HOD , Department of Roga nidana and vikruthi vijnana. Dr Pranesh Varna, Dr Hariprasad Shetty and Dr Ashwathi were Juries for the event and judged students based on Authentic reference, Taste and Presentation, number of sales unit.
