Karnataka Rajyotsava 67th – Koti Kantha Gayana contest launched by Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka : On behalf of Kannada Rajyotsava Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital organised Koti Kantha Gayana concert to commemorate 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava day.

The event was inaugrated by our respected Principal Dr. S.G.Prasanna  Aithal and the Administrative Officer of Institution Mr. Abhinandan Shetty , the moderator of the event was Dr. Savitha K Bhat , Medical Superintendent of Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical Hospital who gave a brief preview about the Koti Kantha Gayana Event and the heritage of Kannada language , traditions to our lives.

The welcome speech given by Dr. Veenakumari , Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma, KRAMCH. She welcomed the President and other dignitaries on to the dias. The Principal highlighted the importance of Kannada language also the need to protect our mother tongue was stressed by him. The Administrative officer reminded the gathering about the ease in which kannada can be learnt by people coming from various language backgrounds. After the lighting of the lamp all the staff in unison sang the various famous Kannada songs written by the renowned poets of Kannada in the following order :

• Jai Bharat Jannaniya by Rashtrakavi Kuvempu
• Udayavagali namma cheluva kannada nadu by Mr Huyilagola Narayan Rao
• Barisu Kannada Dimdimava by Rashtrakavi Kuvempu
• Hachevu kananda da deepa by D.S. Karky
• Vishwavinuthana vidya chethana by Chennaveerakanavi
• Finally the famous song sung by Dr.Rajkumar Huttidare kannada nadali , written by Hamsalekha

was sung in gaiety and thus the Koti kantha gayana contest concluded in sheer joy and cheer. All consultants, faculty, staff took part in the event.
