Anti Ragging Orientation Report
Kundapur Rural Ayurveda Medical College has conducted an orientation program for the consequences of ragging and formation of anti ragging committee. The anti ragging orientation program was conducted on 5 – 5 – 2022 by Mr Sudhakar A, ASI of Kundapura region for first year BAMS students as a part of transitional curriculum addressing 1st year BAMS students. Mr Sudhakar spoke that any kind of physical, mental, verbal and sexual abuse is punishable offense. The National Commission and governing bodies are very strict and clear to have a ragging free campus in every teaching and learning institution.
Mr Sudhakar also added on hazards of drug and substance abuse, raise in criminal incidences due to social media, mobile phones, internet crimes and warned the students on its inappropriate use. The Principal of institution Dr Prasanna Aithal also spoke on the occasion and added on discipline, code of conduct, rules and regulation and institution’s aim of ragging free campus. Dr Hariprasad Shetty, Dean Administration, Dr Sreenivas Rao dean student affairs were also present during the program along with all teaching and nonteaching faculty and students. Dr Veenakumari hosted the program and delivered the Vote of thanks.
