KollurMookambika Temple is located in Kundapura. It is about 30km from Kundapur. The town is located in the Kodachadri Hill Valley in the Western Ghats. An ideal place for tourists who love nature The temple is dedicated to Mookambika Devi, the only temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati. The Goddess is in the form of Jyotir-Linga which is said to be a combination of Shakthi and shiva.

Kollur Temple is also generally known as ‘Mookambi’ or ‘Moogambigai’ in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The temple is very popular among Kerala tourists. Kollur is said to be one of the holiest places in India for Hindus. Goddess Mookambika is also believed to be the goddess of education.

The image of the Panchaloha in the Sri Chakra here is said to have been installed by Adi Shankaracharya who visited it here. An idol of PanchamukhaGanesha can be seen here.

The idol statue has a history of about 2 years. There are several waterfalls in the vicinity of Kollur, the ArakutiMakki and GovindaTheertha Falls. Kodachadri Hill attracts mountaineers. The view of the Arabian Sea from here is enjoyable.
